Roly-Poly Day 2018

Initiated by experienced educator Principal Chan Hung, “Roly-Poly Day” is a campaign that champions a tri-coloured roly-poly mascot: the orange, yellow and blue colours represent the close relations between family, school and society respectively and their interlinked role in supporting students to stay strong.



Initiated by experienced educator Principal Chan Hung, “Roly-Poly Day” is a campaign that champions a tri-coloured roly-poly mascot: the orange, yellow and blue colours represent the close relations between family, school and society respectively and their interlinked role in supporting students to stay strong. Many prominent figures and celebrities in town posted videos on social media in support of the campaign, including Dr. Joseph Sung, Mr. Lau Ming-wai, Mr. Henry Tong Sau-chai, MH, JP, Ms Gigi Leung, Mr. Julian Cheung Chi-lam, Ms Anita Yuen, Ms Charmaine Sheh, Ms Stephy Tang, Ms Sit Ka Yin, Ms Skye Chan, Ms Candy Lo, The Grasshopper, Mr. Jason Chan, Mr. Dennis To, Ms June Leung Ho-ki, Mr. Jayden Lam Yat-yan, Ms Barbara Wong, Ms Ng On-yee, Ms Kei Chiong, Mr. Louis Yan, Mr. Benjamin Au Yeung (aka Ben Sir), McDull and many more. From 23 to 25 March 2018, an exhibition and fun fair were held in Kowloon Park, showcasing a five-metre-tall inflatable tri-coloured roly-poly designed by award-winning architect Mr. Jason Tang, as well as 200 80-centimetre-tall light-up roly-polys, containing the support and blessings of celebrities, artists, designers, scholars, organizations as well as schools who have painted and written messages on them. Notable names include Ms Alice Mak, Ms b.wing, Mr. Eddie Hui, Ms Florence Hui, SBS, JP, Mr. Packy Lai, Mr. Wong Cho Lam, Ms Leanne Li, Mr. Louis Yuen, Ms Tavia Yeung, Mr. Ron Ng, Mr. Evergreen Mak Cheung Ching, etc. Activity booths and captivating performances were also featured to promote the campaign message of caring for Hong Kong students.
